Last Day to Adjust your Pledge!

Hey Team Dobber!
As time continues to speed forward, we get closer and closer to manufacturing. To that end, this is the last day to finalize your pledge in BackerKit.
If you haven't filled out the survey, even if it's just to confirm your email address, please do so. I've heard some have been in in people's spam folders, so check there.

I'm also excited to share that Isaiah, some friends and I have put many hours into testing the new cards and heroes! It's amazing. With 40 challenge cards in the game, the challenge stack combinations are almost impossible to duplicate. You'll never play the same game twice!
I'm so excited to see how far this game has come. You're going to have a blast!

Time to Finalize Heroes!

It’s time to finalize the details for all the new Heroes in Dobbers: Quest for the Key!
I’ve tested a number of ideas over the last few weeks and have a list of suggestions that will work well with the game and be reasonably balanced.
Items that are italic are already assigned to a Hero.
Four of these center around the advantage that certain items give a Hero at certain locations. This is detailed on page 16 of the rule book: http://splatteredink.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Dobbers-Rules-Web-v0.95.pdf

This Hero has the permanent Location advantage, Navigation.

This Hero has the permanent Location advantage, Protection. (already assigned)
- This Hero has the permanent Location advantage, Travel.
- This Hero has the permanent Location advantage, Combat.
An additional four center around having a variation on the core starting deck.
- Before beginning the game choose and remove one card from your Core Starting Deck. Replace it with (1) Hearty Mushroom card from the Adventure Deck.
- Before beginning the game choose and remove one card from your Core Starting Deck. Replace it with (1) Strength card from the Adventure Deck.
- Before beginning the game choose and remove one card from your Core Starting Deck. Replace it with (1) Hard Work card from the Adventure Deck.
- Before beginning the game choose and remove one card from your Core Starting Deck. Replace it with (1) Charm card from the Adventure Deck.
And these four were inspired by suggestions given by backers.
- Hero has +2 Influence that can be used toward acquiring Creatures for the game board. (already assigned)
This Hero has a +1 Challenge Action point if it has an Item Equipment card in play. (already assigned)
- Each turn, before taking any actions, choose one: (1) Your hero has a +1 Challenge Action point until the end of the turn or (2) Your Hero has +1 Influence point that can be used toward acquiring Effect cards until the end of the turn. (already assigned)

Once per turn you can add an influence token to your Hero. Spend collected influence to steal an active Equipment card from another Hero who is within 2 spaces of your Hero. Must say "Yoink!" or the ability fails. (already assigned)
If you’ve not had a chance to talk to me about your hero, make sure you reach out to me. We need to finalize these cards and prepare them for manufacturing before November. In order to make sure we meet this schedule, I’m setting an October 10th deadline to finalize what you want for your Hero.
